Ok, so the title might be more interesting the news itself. This morning I woke up and tried to go through some of the blogs I read on a regular basis. When I followed a link from my google reader feed to Africa Unchained, things did not go as expected. The site is apparently on the list of banned websites in China so you cannot actually visit it if you’re anywhere in mainland China. At all. I don’t know if the author of the blog knows that but since Emeka has me in his feed list, I guess he’ll find the news this way.
Way to go man! Not many foreign bloggers (i.e. not Chinese) do work that’s notable enough to make the Chinese state add their website to the forbidden list. So, I guess, congratulations are in order.
Update: The same applies to Wronging Rights.
